PTMs: The Relationship between school and families is reinforced by parent and community events. Parent-teacher meetings (PTMs) are necessary to address the progress of students. The teachers exchange performance, behavior, strengths and areas of improvement. Home, on its part, is supplied with information by parents. Their combination forms a favorable environment, which contributes to the child's development.

Grandparent’s Day: The love and wisdom old family members share is celebrated on Grandparent’s Day. In schools, performances, games and interactive activities are organized so that the students can spend time with their grandparents. This is when they respect the old and the family is cohesive.

Open house events: Open house activities enable parents to go to classrooms, meet teachers and learn what the schools do. They get a better idea of the learning process that occurs every day. Transparency and trust between the school and the families are also established through open houses.

Orientation programs: New parents go through orientation programs that expose them to the curricula, policies and instructions of the school. These orientations alleviate the anxiety of new families and provide students with a good beginning. The parents are informed of the expectations and how they can contribute to the learning process of their children.

Community celebrations: Community activities can also include cultural events, charity events and joint ventures. These occasions unite families, teachers and students, making them feel a community. What they demonstrate is that the teamwork of schools and families is the most effective way of education. On the whole, parent and community events develop communication, cooperation and shared responsibility and make students feel supported at home and in school.
